Three pairing flows: the watch uses a 6-digit code (sent from phone or generated in the extension), other devices (phone, TV) can use the same code, and the desktop companion uses a copy-paste token. You can generate pairing codes directly from the extension to sign in new devices.
Sidecar → Settings → ⌚ Pair a watch (or 🔗 Pair a device) → Get pairing code. It generates a 6-digit code, valid for 5 minutes, usable once.
Extension Settings → 🔗 Devices → Generate pairing code. Same 6-digit code that works on phone, watch, or TV — you pick which device initiates it.
"Code invalid or expired" just means the 5 minutes ran out, or it was already used. Generate a fresh code and try again.
Open Tabby Watch → tap "⌚ Pair with Tabatha" (or "⌚ Re-pair watch" if paired before) → enter the 6 digits. It shows "Pairing…" then "Paired ✓."
Open Tabby Sidecar or sign in at https://tabatha.pondocean.co/sidecar → Sign in → 🔗 Sign in with pairing code → enter the 6 digits. You'll see your account, queue, and work shifts.
Open Context View (on a TV, big monitor, or the screensaver) → the sign-in screen has a 🔗 Sign in with code button → enter the 6 digits. It shows your current focus, timer, and a day-reset countdown.
Tabby Desk's tray menu → 🔗 Pair Extension (copy token) copies a pairing token to your clipboard.
Extension Settings → 🖥️ Desktop Activity → Companion Pairing → paste it into Paste pairing token → Save & Pair. You'll see "✓ Token saved — reconnecting to the companion."
No — it's a security-hardening step, not a hard requirement. An unpaired companion still connects in open mode; pair it if you want the link authenticated.
