You're on this page because you were personally invited to try Tabatha before anyone else. This section is for you.

What we're asking

Use it for real — let it gate your actual browsing, not a demo tab. Then tell us what broke, what confused you, or what you wanted it to do and it didn't. Rough feedback is more useful than polished silence.

What you can do

Everything: the browser extension (Gatekeeper, sidebar, work shifts, time tracking), Tabby Sidecar on your phone, the Windows desktop companion, and Context View on a spare screen. Nothing below is held back from testers.

How to get started

  1. Install the extension — enter your invite key just below to unlock the current build, or use your organization's managed Chrome account if you were set up that way.
  2. Sign in and activate with your invite key — open the extension's Settings → ☁️ Sync & Account, sign in, then paste your key under Join via Invite Token and press Join. This is what actually redeems the key and attaches your account.
  3. Install Tabby Sidecar — open tabatha.pondocean.co/sidecar on your phone and sign in with the same account. If it asks for an invite code (new accounts only), the same key works there too.

About the official Chrome Web Store listing: it is now published to our trusted testers — if you've been added as a tester, you can install it from the Store today. (A newer version is in review as an unpublished draft; testers stay on the current published build until it's approved.) One thing that matters when you switch to the Store version — sign in first. Chrome treats the Web Store version as a completely different extension install from this one, and anything that hasn't synced to your account — local-only focus history, unsynced settings — cannot transfer between two separate installs. Sign in now (Settings → ☁️ Sync & Account) and switching later carries everything with it. Stay signed out, and switching means starting over.

Browser Extension

Chrome · Core

The heart of Tabatha: the Gatekeeper, the Sidebar, contexts and intents, time tracking, and work shifts — inside your browser.

  1. Managed teams: if your organization manages Chrome, Tabatha installs automatically — look for the T icon in your toolbar. Nothing to download.
  2. Invited testers: install from the Chrome Web Store listing. It's published to our trusted testers right now, so it appears once you are signed into Chrome with the tester account. Not a tester yet? Use the direct download just below.
  3. Pin the icon, open a new tab, and tell the Gatekeeper what you're down for. Sign in from the home page to turn on cloud sync.

Invited tester? Download the current build directly

Enter your invite key to unlock a direct download of the current staff build — no Chrome Web Store account needed. Checking your key here does not spend it: the same key still works afterwards to activate your account.

Tabby Sidecar

No app store · Installs in seconds

Your focus, queue, checkpoints, and clock — from your phone. There is no app store listing to wait on: open the link, sign in, and it installs straight to your home screen in seconds.

Open Sidecar
  1. Open the link above on your phone or tablet and sign in. New account? Your invite key works here too — sign in first, then enter it when Sidecar asks for one to activate the account (the same key from the extension, not a separate one).
  2. iPhone / iPad: in Safari, tap Share → Add to Home Screen.
    Android: in Chrome, tap the menu → Install app (or use the Install button in Sidecar's Settings).
  3. Allow notifications in Settings if you want focus and check-in alerts on your phone.

Turn a tablet or TV sideways and Sidecar becomes the Context View — a glanceable board of what you're working on. On a TV browser, open the same link and choose Sign in with a code; approve it from your phone.

Desktop Companion

Windows

Keeps your time honest when you leave the browser: tracks which app has your attention, adds the Desk View mini-panel, and clocks in/out from the tray.

Download for Windows (.exe) MSI installer
  1. Run the installer — Tabatha Desktop lives in your system tray.
  2. With the extension installed, the two pair automatically on the same machine; use Pair Extension from the companion if asked.
  3. Updates arrive in-app: the tray notifies you when a new version is ready.

Tabby Watch

Galaxy Watch · Beta

Your current focus and timer on your wrist, with quick check-ins. Early beta for Wear OS (Galaxy Watch 6 and newer); installs by sideload for now.

  1. Get the beta from the Tabby Watch repository (sideload instructions included).
  2. On the watch, open Tabby Watch → Pair, then mint a pairing code from Sidecar → Settings → Pair Watch and enter it.
